Dawn Walker, a 49-year-old Saskatoon woman who was accused of abducting her child and faking their deaths, has pleaded guilty in Saskatoon Provincial Court to three charges.
According to an agreed statement of facts, Walker was arrested in Oregon City, Ore., on Aug. 5, 2022, after an intense search in Saskatoon that cost upwards of $100,000.
She was found with several fake documents, including passports and COVID vaccine letters.
Two victim impact statements were read out in court Thursday.
The Crown has proposed a 12-month conditional sentence with 18 months of probation to follow.
