8:30 – Saskatchewan’s premier says Sask Energy will not collect carbon tax from residents of the province next year if Prime Minister Justin Trudeau does not expand the exemption on the tax for heating oil in Atlantic provinces to natural gas for Western provinces. Trudeau says his government will not offer any further exemptions. Law professor, Gerard Kennedy, joins Gormley to discuss the legal ramifications of Moe’s call.

10:00 – Earlier this month, a cardiology clinic in Moose Jaw decided to privatize, opting out of the publicly-funded health-care model. It was a decision Dr. Jeff Wilkinson made for his clinic after much thought. He joins Gormley to delve into his decision to privatize, what it means for his clinic and why he feels the decision was an important one to make.

11:00 – About four per cent of Canadians have fetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASD), which is more than Autism, Cerebral Palsy and Down Syndrome combined. The Canada FASD Conference is being held in Saskatoon this year, working to bring people from across the country together to network and educate about a lifelong disability that is underrecognized and under supported. Canada FASD Research Network executive director, Audrey McFarlane, who is also presenting at the conference, joins Gormley to share more about combining lived experiences with research and progress for people living with FASD.

12:00 – Not every member of the LGBTQ+ community disagrees with Saskatchewan’s new pronoun law. Jack Decker, founder of Northern Light Alliance, joins Gormley to share his perspective as a gay man who thinks Saskatchewan’s government did the right thing by protecting the rights of parents.
