A Saskatoon home was so badly destroyed by a fire Tuesday morning that it was deemed unsafe for an investigator to determine the cause.
The fire department responded to a 9-1-1 call around 5:30 a.m. about a home on fire in the 200 block of Avenue L South in Pleasant Hill.

Fire crews required some extra equipment to put out the stubborn blaze. An excavator was brought in to pull the structure apart, allowing crews access to hot spots.
No injuries were reported as the home was vacant at the time of the blaze.
Damage is estimated at $200,000.
Anyone with information regarding the fire is asked to contact the Saskatoon Police Service.
