The victim of a homicide in Saskatoon has been identified.
According to police, officers got a report of a man injured in the backyard of a home on Mackie Crescent in the early morning hours of Oct. 7. When police arrived, they found the 38-year-old man, who was taken to hospital for treatment but quickly succumbed to his injuries.
On Wednesday, police identified the victim as Ryan Taysup, a resident of Saskatoon.
The case marks the city’s ninth homicide of 2023, police said.
Police asked anyone with information on the case – or any “video evidence believed to be relevant to the investigation” – to contact police or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers.
