Police in Saskatoon are renewing a call for information on the 10-year anniversary of an unsolved homicide.
On Sept. 7, 2013, Algin Anton Gamble was seen on his bicycle at the corner of 23rd Street and Avenue U South. Police said Gamble was speaking with a person in a black SUV when an argument broke out and the driver took off “at a high rate of speed.”
According to police, Gamble fell from his bike and was struck and injured by the SUV. He was taken to hospital, where he died two days later.
The case has since gone cold, but police said they believe someone has important information that could change that.
“The investigation into this historical homicide remains open,” police said in a statement. “No suspects have been arrested but investigators believe members of the public may have information helpful in solving the case.”
Anyone with information that could help close the cold case was urged to contact police or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers.
