A 19-year-old man has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of Angose Standingwater in May.
In a media release Wednesday, Saskatoon police said their Major Crime Section had arrested the suspect on Tuesday. Investigators also arrested a 21-year-old woman and charged her with being an accessory after the fact to murder.
They’re to appear in court Wednesday.
Standingwater was found with a life-threatening injury at a business in Saskatoon’s Stonebridge neighbourhood on May 20. Despite lifesaving efforts by first responders, he died at the scene.
Police subsequently asked for the public’s help in locating a white van they believed was involved in some way. The van was found the day after the police requested help.
