One investigation led to another for Saskatoon police on July 24.
Police said that at about 9:30 a.m. that day, officers responded to a call about a domestic disturbance in progress in the 100 block of Avenue U South. When the officers arrived, they saw items that police say are “consistent with the manufacturing of weapons.”
A police media release said officers got a search warrant and found a 3D printer and several manufactured gun parts, as well as pepper spray and various electronic devices.
Police said a 25-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman each was charged with manufacturing a firearm, careless storage of a firearm, possession of a weapon dangerous to public peace, possession of a weapon without a licence, and possession of a weapon while prohibited.
According to the release, the woman also was charged with resisting arrest and failing to comply with court-imposed conditions.
