The Gold & Silver Pawn Shop in Las Vegas is rolling in Roughriders rings.
According to its website, the pawn shop — made famous by the TV show “Pawn Stars” — has three Saskatchewan Roughriders Grey Cup rings for sale at the store.
The most expensive is a ring from the 1966 championship team, listed for sale at $70,724 CAD. The shop’s website claims the ring belonged “to one of the All Time Top-10 players in CFL history.”
Saskatchewan beat the Ottawa Rough Riders 29-14 in the 1966 Grey Cup game in Vancouver. That was the first CFL title in Roughriders franchise history.
The website also has a Grey Cup ring from the 1989 Roughriders; it bears the number 4 and the name Brown. That was the jersey number of defensive back Albert Brown.
The Roughriders beat the Hamilton Tiger-Cats 43-40 in Toronto for the franchise’s second Grey Cup championship. That ring is listed for sale at $22,902 CAD.
The shop also has for sale a ring from the Roughriders’ 2013 Grey Cup-winning team. Saskatchewan beat the Tiger-Cats 45-23 at Mosaic Stadium for its fourth CFL title.
The pictures of that ring on the shop’s website don’t identify the previous owner. The listed price is $24,249 CAD.
