A second man charged in connection with a killing on the Witchekan Lake First Nation was arrested Thursday in Saskatoon.
According to the RCMP, 32-year-old Nathaniel Sakebow was found at a business and taken into custody by Saskatoon police. He was to appear in Saskatoon Provincial Court on Friday on a charge of manslaughter.
On Wednesday, 35-year-old Chase Cardinal of Vilna, Alta., was arrested by RCMP officers in Spiritwood. He too is charged with manslaughter.
Police said 38-year-old Teddy Whitehead of the Pelican Lake First Nation was killed on the Witchekan Lake First Nation on July 15.
The Saskatchewan RCMP’s Major Crimes unit now is asking the public to report sightings of a white 2007 GMC Envoy SUV with Saskatchewan licence plate 342 MUN.
