Police in Saskatoon say a sudden death in the Riversdale neighbourhood is not considered suspicious.
Early Tuesday afternoon, police asked the public to avoid the area of the 700 block of 22nd Street West as officers investigated a sudden death.
In a media release issued just after 1 p.m., police said members of the Major Crime Section and the Collision Analyst Unit were looking into the incident in the Riversdale neighbourhood.
Police said their work at the scene was concluded just before 3 p.m., and investigators concluded the death was not suspicious in nature. As a result, police said, the investigation will be handed to the Saskatchewan Coroners Office.
“The deceased has been identified and police are attempting to notify next of kin,” police said in a statement.
Police didn’t provide any details about the deceased or the nature of the incident.
