Saskatchewan should get some relief from the heat Wednesday.
Environment Canada once again issued heat warnings early Tuesday for areas across the province, including Regina and Saskatoon. But the weather service said things will start to cool off — at least a bit — on Wednesday.
“Parts of southern Saskatchewan will see one more day of extreme heat before the heat wave finally breaks and more seasonal temperatures return to the region,” Tuesday’s advisory said.
According to the forecast, the high in Regina on Wednesday is to be 29 C while in Saskatoon, the high is expected to be 27 C. Temperatures are to continue to fall for the rest of the week.
In southern Saskatchewan, heat warnings are issued when Environment Canada expects two or more consecutive days with daytime highs of 32 C or warmer and nighttime lows of 16 C or warmer.
