The Saskatoon Police Service is once again asking for the public’s help as it tries to wrap up a 20-year-old cold case.
On July 12, 2003, officers responded to a call about a break-in at a house in the 200 block of Avenue K North. When they arrived, they found 84-year-old Glen McCoy suffering from serious injuries.
McCoy died the following day; investigators later determined he had been murdered.
At the time, police issued a media release saying they believed the break-in happened between 2 p.m. on July 10 and 8 a.m. on July 12. They also noted three suspicious individuals had been seen in the area between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. on July 11.
In their release Tuesday, police said their investigation into McCoy’s death was continuing.
“No suspects have been arrested but investigators believe members of the public may have information helpful in solving the case,” the release said.
Anyone with information was asked to contact police at 306-975-8300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
