The Saskatchewan Roughriders have added another kicker to their roster.
The CFL team announced Monday it had signed national Campbell Fair, who was selected by the Calgary Stampeders in the sixth round (51st overall) of the 2023 CFL draft out of the University of Ottawa.
Fair, a 23-year-old product of Oakville, Ont., spent training camp with the Stampeders before being released.
At the U of O, Fair went 48-for-68 on field-goal attempts and added 69 converts in his career. He was named a second-team OUA all-star in 2022.
Veteran kicker Brett Lauther has been appearing on the Roughriders’ injury report of late and, in fact, was listed as questionable prior to Thursday’s game against the Edmonton Elks. Lauther has gone 9-for-12 on field-goal attempts and 5-for-6 on convert tries for Saskatchewan so far this season.
The Roughriders also announced they had released American wide receiver Kalija Lipscomb.
