The rehabilitation project on Saskatoon’s Circle Drive North Bridge is about halfway complete.
According to the City of Saskatoon, the nine-month rehabilitation project will switch to the eastbound side of the bridge this weekend, while two-way traffic will move over to the westbound lanes.
“Drivers are reminded to utilize the zipper merge technique when approaching the construction zone,” the city said in a statement. “Use all available lanes up to the merge point, then take turns moving through.”
Construction on the 40-year-old bridge started in February, and is expected to wrap up in October.
The city said the work includes replacing asphalt and barriers, improving drainage and concrete, and repairing piers and abutments.
