A scene straight out of the “One Hundred and One Dalmatians” played out at the Saskatoon SPCA on Thursday.
In a Facebook post, the animal shelter said somebody left a plastic bin containing a number of puppies on the shelter’s doorstep.
They did not specify how many puppies were inside the plastic bin.
The SPCA is calling it “the 101 Dalmatians Litter.”
The post said all of the puppies are under 12 weeks old and have been taken into care by the shelter.
While it’s happy to help its new guests, the shelter says the puppies’ arrival has put it in a tough situation because it’s facing capacity issues.
The shelter is calling on people to come in and adopt some of the puppies so they can have a forever home.
People can visit the puppies at the shelter Sunday from noon to 4:30 p.m., or can call to make an appointment. The shelter is also asking for donations of food or cash to help in the litter’s care.
