A weapons calls in Saskatoon’s Riversdale neighbourhood has become the city’s fifth homicide of the year.
At approximately 1:22 p.m. Saturday, police were called to a disturbance in the 300 block of Avenue H South.
Upon arrival, officers found an injured 35-year-old woman. Paramedics performed CPR at the scene and she was transported to hospital, where she died.
In an update Sunday afternoon, police said two women, ages 42 and 37, had been charged with second-degree murder. They’re to appear in court Monday.
Police have said the suspects and the victim appear to be known to each other.
