The heat wave is set to break in Saskatchewan.
Heat warnings persisted in the province on Wednesday, but Environment Canada said the end is in sight.
“Hot and humid weather is expected to continue for one more day before easing somewhat (Thursday),” the advisory said.
The weather service again issued warnings for some regions in the southeastern part of the province, including communities like Carlyle, Stoughton, Estevan, Weyburn, Moosomin, Grenfell, Yorkton and Melville.
The weather service said the humidex would reach 38 C again, just as it has since the warnings were first issued Sunday.
Heat warnings have blanketed much of southern Saskatchewan since the weekend, including in Regina and Saskatoon. Neither of those cities was included in Wednesday’s warnings.
