Two men were seriously injured after shots were allegedly fired at a home in Bell’s Point.
According to the RCMP, officers with the La Ronge detachment responded to a home on Bird Place at around 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
“Investigation determined a firearm was discharged at the residence and two male occupants, both adults, were injured,” the RCMP said in a statement. “They were transported to the hospital in a personal vehicle and treated for injuries described as serious in nature.”
The suspects were described as two men and a woman, all in their 20s.
Police said numerous RCMP officers are investigating the shooting, with help from police dog handlers and forensic experts.
While the shooting is likely concerning to those in the area, police noted it was not believed to be a random incident.
“Investigation determined this incident was targeted,” the RCMP said. “If an elevated risk to public safety is identified, Saskatchewan RCMP will notify the public.”
Anyone with information that could help the investigation was urged to contact La Ronge RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
