Police in Saskatoon are still working to solve a triple murder that happened nearly a half-century ago.
According to police, Tuesday marks the 49th anniversary of the killings of Dorothy Cathcart, William Graham and Frank Harder.
On May 30, 1974, police were called to a home on 20th Street West to conduct a welfare check on the occupants, who hadn’t been seen or heard from in some time.
“When police arrived, they found the house had been broken into through the back door, and three people were located deceased inside,” police said in a statement.
“Dorothy Frances Cathcart (Hall), Frank Harder, and William Graham had been shot, and a revolver was recovered at the scene.”
May 27 marks nine-year anniversary of woman’s death
This past Saturday marked the ninth anniversary of another murder in Saskatoon, police said.
On May 27, 2014, police were called to an apartment block on 25th Street West after getting reports of gunshots.
“Responding officers located a woman, identified as 55-year-old Linda Clark, deceased from a gunshot wound outside of the apartment building,” police said.
Three persons of interest were identified in connection with Clark’s death, police said, but so far no arrests have been made.
Anyone with information that could help the Historical Crime Unit in its investigation into the deaths was urged to contact police or make an anonymous report through Crime Stoppers.
