A death on Saturday night that was initially deemed suspicious is now being treated as a homicide by Saskatoon police.
According to police, officers were called to a home on Confederation Place at approximately 8:30 p.m., when they located an injured man. That man — now identified as 33-year-old David Dustyhorn — was taken to Royal University Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Police said that shortly after the initial call, officers with the Major Crimes Section arrested a 33-year-old woman on the same block where the death occurred, but she was later released from custody.
Police said Dustyhorn’s killing marks the city’s fourth homicide of 2023.
