Police in Rosthern are asking the public to keep an eye out for anyone matching a description after guns and body armour were stolen from a warehouse.
According to the RCMP, police were called to a warehouse on Saskatchewan Street in Rosthern on Tuesday night after a reported break-in.
“Initial information gathered by police determined an individual broke into the warehouse and stole multiple firearms, body armour, an after-market carrier vest, tools and cameras,” the RCMP said in a statement. “Police are working to determine the origin of the body armour.”
Based on surveillance camera footage, the RCMP said the suspect is believed to be a man with a medium build, standing about 5-foot-8. In the footage, the RCMP said he was wearing a plaid jacket, jeans and a white hat.
Officers are working to determine if more than one person was involved, the RCMP said, and to determine the make and model of the getaway vehicle used.
Police asked the public to report any sightings of the suspect, and asked anyone with information that could help the investigation to contact the RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
