A drug investigation in Saskatoon concluded with two arrests Tuesday, and police seized more than four kilograms of methamphetamine along with a loaded handgun, cash and other drugs.
According to police, the four-day operation dubbed “Project Rapture” was an investigation into alleged drug trafficking by two B.C. men.
On Tuesday, officers with the police Tactical Support Unit arrested the pair at a business on Second Avenue North.
Police later raided two homes on Feheregyhazi Boulevard and Sixth Avenue North, where officers seized 4.22 kilograms of methamphetamine, 483.73 grams of crack cocaine, 137.84 grams of “pink” fentanyl, $25,926 in cash, cellphones, and a modified, loaded handgun.
The two men – aged 23 and 24 – are now facing numerous charges. One of them was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant, police added, and both have connections to “Project Rancid,” a previous drug investigation by Saskatoon police.
