Business is about to pick up at Prince Albert National Park.
According to Parks Canada, all campgrounds are to open Friday.
Reservations can be made for tent or trailer camping in Beaver Glen or RV camping in Red Deer (full service) here or by calling 1-877-737-3783. There also are first-come, first-served campgrounds around the park.
Parks Canada reminded campers there’s a liquor and cannabis restriction in all campgrounds on the Victoria Day long weekend. As well, all open fires currently are prohibited in the park because the fire danger is extreme.
Most businesses in Waskesiu are to open on the Victoria Day long weekend. More information on the businesses available can be found here.
Parks Canada also pointed out that fishing season in the park opens Saturday. Licences are available at the Visitor Centre or one of the three marinas.
The Nature Centre opens Saturday and will operate on Saturdays and Sundays only from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. until June 25. From June 30 to Aug. 31, it’ll be open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Prince Albert National Park Visitor Centre is open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., until Sept. 4.
