The eight-year-old boy at the centre of an Amber Alert was found safe Tuesday evening in Thunder Bay, Ont.
Thunder Bay police issued the alert early Tuesday, and said the boy had been abducted by a 28-year-old man. Police said the pair may have been heading toward Prince Albert, where the suspect lives.
In a statement, Thunder Bay police said the suspect had been found in a rural area near the Ontario city in the evening.
Police said an exhaustive search was conducted with help from the Ontario Provincial Police’s aviation services and its emergency response team.
The man was arrested without incident and faces charges of abduction, forcible confinement and breach of a release order. He’s to make a court appearance Wednesday.
