Rising water levels have forced the closures of a number of roads in Saskatchewan, including in Grasslands National Park.
In a tweet Thursday, Parks Canada said all roads in the East/West blocks of the park near Val Marie are closed because sections have been washed out. The tweet said the roads will remain closed “until conditions improve and road repairs can be made.”
As well, the Dixon bridge in the park has been closed until water levels in the Frenchman River recede.

Meanwhile, water levels continued to affect highways in the southwest portion of the province Thursday.
According to the Highway Hotline: Highway 4 was closed one kilometre south of the Highway 13 junction because of washouts and water over the roadway; Highway 19 was closed 11 kilometres north of Highway 42 due to flooding and washouts; and, Highway 42 was closed two kilometres south of the Highway 373 intersection because of flood damage.
Detours were in place in all three instances.
As well, the Highway Hotline said water was over the road on Highway 343 near Vesper, a stretch of Highway 365 near Watrous was under water, and a bridge was flooded on Highway 784 near the South Saskatchewan River east of Warman.
