A 63-year-old man turned himself in to police and is now facing an assault charge in connection with a dispute in the parking lot of SaskTel Centre.
The alleged assault took place April 2, following a WHL game between the Saskatoon Blades and Regina Pats.
Video of the incident was widely circulated on social media. The video showed a man throwing a baton used by one parking attendant and then kicking and shoving a second attendant.
According to police, the victim of the assault was 18 years old, and officers obtained and verified the footage of the incident.
On Monday, the 63-year-old turned himself in at police headquarters, police said. He’s now charged with assault.
