When the Riders have their first game at home June 16 against the Blue Bombers, the team said it’ll be the “ultimate dad’s night out,” two days before Father’s Day.
“We can’t wait to use this day to celebrate the return of football and all the dads and father figures who influenced our love of the game,” said Saskatchewan Roughrider Chief Brand Officer Anthony Partipilo in a news release.
That Friday will start with the Party in the Park at 4 p.m., including relay races, dad-themed trivia, alumni appearances, and the first Roughrider Cornhole Tournament.
The first 5,000 dads into the stadium will get a free Roughriders cap and at half-time, Canadian rocker Kim Mitchell will take the stage on the south concourse.
Tickets for the home opener go on sale April 24 at 10 a.m.
