Connor Bedard’s stellar series is being recognized by the WHL.
The 17-year-old has been named the league’s player of the week with 11 points (six goals, five assists) over his last four games.
He was also named the player of the week for his performance in the first two games of the series (five goals, four assists).
Bedard, who is expected to be the top pick in the upcoming NHL draft, had a three-point (one goal, two assists) performance on Tuesday in Game 3 of the series — a 4-3 overtime loss to the Saskatoon Blades.
While the result was the same in Game 4 on Wednesday, Bedard tallied two more goals to add to his playoff total.
He added another two goals in Game 5 despite a 4-2 loss in the playoffs.
But he answered back in Game 6 with a four-point performance (one goal, three assists) to help push the series to a Game 7.
The deciding game at SaskTel Centre goes Monday with puck drop set for 7 p.m.
