Saskatoon police are making residents in the Fairhaven neighbourhood wait for details about an incident that resulted in the shutdown of an entire street.
Vehicle and foot traffic was restricted in the 400 block of Pendygrasse Road shortly after 8 a.m. on Saturday, according to a Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) news release.
The incident occurred several blocks from the Saskatoon Tribal Council’s wellness centre. An online posts indicated over a dozen police vehicles outside an apartment building.
Police said the incident was related to an “ongoing investigation” and would release more details on Tuesday.
Restrictions were lifted shortly after 10 a.m. Officers remained at the scene through the day, but SPS stated there was no safety risk.
