Saskatoon police are looking into an altercation in a SaskTel Centre parking lot Sunday.
A video recorded after Sunday’s WHL playoff game shows a man aggressively throwing a baton used by one parking attendant and then kicking and shoving a second attendant after the game between the Regina Pats and Saskatoon Blades ended.
In the video, the man continues towards the parking attendant he struck as the attendant backs up while the other attendant speaks into his radio. In the background, traffic can be seen backed up, waiting to exit the event centre’s parking lot.
A friend took this video at @SaskTelCtr today after the game. He was mad the road he wanted to take was closed (so that traffic flows more smoothly you idiot). 👍🏻 to the parking attendants…they really did keep their cool. Can’t wait to find out who he is. pic.twitter.com/UNZM2T9ey0

At the end of the 40-second video, the man gets back into the driver’s seat of his vehicle, after appearing to exchange more heated words with the attendant.
Joshua Grella with the Saskatoon Police Service said no charges have been laid in the investigation.
“We’re aware of video circulating on social media showing a physical confrontation between two parking attendants and the driver of a pickup truck following the conclusion of a sporting event on April 2,” Grella said in an email.
He said police have received related reports and are continuing to investigate.
Cheri Hamilton, SaskTel Centre’s vice president of business development and communications, said in an email the company is aware of the situation that happened “between a fan and members of our parking team.”
Hamilton said the matter is currently under police investigation and SaskTel Centre wishes to “respect the privacy of those employees involved,” citing the safety and well-being of its employees as a top priority.
“We want to assure everyone that we are taking this situation very seriously, and do not tolerate such behaviour,” Hamilton said.
Hamilton said SaskTel Centre will not be providing any further comment at this time about the incident.
