A 59-year-old Regina man was killed in the crash that closed Highway 16 near Langenburg on Friday.
In a media release Monday, the RCMP said the crash involving four vehicles — two pickup trucks, an SUV and a semi — occurred at around 9:20 a.m., about three kilometres east of Langenburg.
The driver of one of the pickups was pronounced dead at the scene.
The drivers of the other three vehicles were taken to hospital for injuries that the Mounties described as non-life-threatening. The vehicles weren’t carrying passengers.
The Esterhazy RCMP is investigating the crash with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist. On Friday, the Mounties said conditions in the area were foggy at the time of the crash, but it’s unknown if that was a factor.
