The ground may still be covered in snow, but something’s already blooming in Saskatoon.
It won’t be long before it’s time to get gardens ready for the warm weather, and for those looking for tools, tips or inspiration for their gardens, the 33rd-annual Gardenscape Backyard Living Show is running all weekend.
From Friday until Sunday, the World Trade Centre Saskatoon at Prairieland Park will be packed with the gardening trade show, as well as learning opportunities, entertainment, food and more.
According to Prairieland Park, the show includes offerings for new and expert gardeners alike, such as information sessions on extending the growing season, how to properly start seeds, and how to choose suitable plants for Saskatchewan’s climate.
At the trade show, guests can check out plants, decor, garden products, tools, furnishings and more, and there’s an art show attached to the event as well.
“Over 7,000 bulbs planted last fall will be in full bloom to decorate the show and display gardens and inspire your creativity,” Prairieland Park added in a news release.
“These plants will be up for sale or auction starting at 6 p.m. on Sunday, March 26 in the Main Trade Hall.”
