While the WHL’s Saskatoon Blades are getting set to play their final home regular-season game on Friday at a sold-out SaskTel Centre, there is more than winning a hockey game on the minds of the organization.
The hockey club is wishing their head scout, Dan Tencer, a speedy recovery after he was injured in a car crash in Alberta on Wednesday.
Dan is an amazing father, husband and friend and one helluva scout.
Let’s all send him our best wishes and I know he’ll be back in the rinks before you know it because he loves it so much.
He even asked me last night, in total shock, who was winning the @EdmontonOilers game 😂— Colin Priestner (@colinpriestner) March 23, 2023
Here’s a shout out to all the amazing scouts who live on the road for the love of the game, their clubs and these kids trying to make it one day.
We probably don’t tell you enough how much we appreciate what you do and the risks you take in these Canadian winters for us.

The Blades are enjoying one of their best seasons in franchise history and are on the verge of a fourth 100-point season with two regular-season games remaining.
