Police are asking for the public’s help as they search for a woman accused of stealing money from a school in Punnichy.
In a media release Wednesday, the RCMP said officers were told last May about thefts of cash that occurred between December of 2021 and March of 2022 from Punnichy Elementary Community School.
After investigating, the Punnichy RCMP charged 49-year-old Shelley Dustyhorn from the Kawacatoose First Nation with one count of theft over $5,000. But the Mounties don’t know where Dustyhorn is; they believe she may be in Regina.
There’s a warrant for Dustyhorn’s arrest and police are asking for the public’s help in finding her.
She’s described as being 5-foot-3 and 150 pounds with brown eyes and black hair.
Anyone with information about Dustyhorn’s whereabouts is asked to call their nearest police service or RCMP detachment or the Mounties at 310-RCMP.
