Regina Rams season ends with Mitchell Bowl loss to Laval
Nov 16, 2024
Laval Rouge et Or earned the 17-14 win at Mosaic Stadium on Saturday.
The Calgary Roughnecks had the luck of the irish on their side as they defeated the Saskatchewan Rush on St. Patrick’s Day Friday evening.
For the second time this season the Prairie rivals squared off inside the Calgary Saddledome with the home side holding off a late rally to prevail again.
Two minutes into the final frame, Saskatchewan’s Clark Walter would cut Calgary’s lead down to one goal, but the Roughnecks were able to feed off the home crowd and score five more goals in less than three minutes, cruising to an 11-6 win.
The loss extends Saskatchewan’s losing skid to four games.
The 5-7 Rush will get a chance at redemption against the 9-4 Calgary Roughnecks in a rematch at SaskTel Centre on Saturday.
Game time is 7:30 p.m.
