A 28-year-old man was mugged at knifepoint by a boy half his age Friday morning.
According to Saskatoon police, the victim was walking in the area of Avenue S South and 20th Street West at around 7 a.m. when the boy approached him and drew a knife. The 14-year-old robber made off with the man’s wallet, police said, and the victim wasn’t injured.
Police said officers caught up with the teen a short time later, and he was found to be carrying “multiple knives” along with the victim’s wallet.
“He was arrested after a brief struggle,” police said in a statement. “Charges are pending.”
