Bryan Thomson and a goalpost saved the Lethbridge Hurricanes on Friday.
Three minutes into overtime of a WHL game in Lethbridge, Regina Pats star Connor Bedard hit a post behind Thomson in the Hurricanes’ goal. Bedard regained control of the puck, but his shot from the slot was repelled by Thomson.
The Hurricanes immediately went the other way and Logan McCutcheon scored to give the home team a 5-4 victory.
