A “Star Trek” star is beaming down to Saskatoon.
Jonathan Frakes, best-known for playing Commander William Riker on “Star Trek: The Next Generation” from 1987 to 1994, will be making an appearance at the Saskatoon Entertainment Expo this year. The expo is to be held May 5-7 at Prairieland Park.
In a social media post, organizers said they were “literally beaming” in the announcement of the first celebrity guest for the event.
In addition to his “Star Trek” role, which he recently reprised in the new series “Picard,” Frakes has credits in numerous films and series as both actor and director.
The Saskatoon Entertainment Expo features major entertainers from the worlds of film, television and comics, as well as artists, vendors, cosplayers, and other exhibits.
