It looks like Saskatchewan residents are putting their travel woes in the rear-view mirror.
Some Sunwing flights are getting off the tarmac again after the airline announced the initial cancellation of all services from the province from Dec. 29 to Feb. 3.
Terry Kaszas, general manager of travel service for CAA Saskatchewan, said he’s seeing business pick up in terms of bookings from travellers.
“Things are getting busier again,” he said.
Sunny destinations may be a staple in winter travelling, but Kaszas told CKOM’s Mark Loshack on Tuesday that trips to Europe are selling “through the roof.”
“You wouldn’t believe the numbers we’re seeing right now,” he said, adding river cruises and land tours are popular.
Although operations are running smoother, Kaszas said it’s always critical to have travel insurance and reminds travellers to make sure they have the right coverage.
He adds it’s important when facing troubles with delays, interruptions, and most importantly medical problems.
