The Saskatoon Blades went 4-for-5 on their swing through British Columbia.
Saskatoon beat the hometown Vancouver Giants 2-1 on Saturday, giving the Blades four wins in five games during their trip to B.C.
The Blades’ fourth straight win improved their record to 37-13-3-1, tying them with the Red Deer Rebels (37-13-3-1) for second place in the Eastern Conference. Red Deer beat the Medicine Hat Tigers 5-4 in overtime earlier Saturday.
After a scoreless first period, Ty Thorpe got the Giants on the board at 13:51 of the second period.
The Blades’ Jayden Wiens tied the contest at 9:43 of the third before Conner Roulette provided the winning goal at 13:30 of the final frame. Saskatoon outshot the Giants 17-3 in the third during the come-from-behind victory.
Austin Elliott made 19 saves in the Saskatoon net. Vancouver (20-26-4-2) got 31 saves from Jesper Vikman.
The Blades are idle until Friday, when they’re to play host to the Prince Albert Raiders. Game time at SaskTel Centre is set for 7 p.m.
