Four straight goals in the third period Tuesday helped the Saskatoon Blades post their second straight victory.
The Blades and host Prince George Cougars were tied 1-1 after 40 minutes of their WHL game before Saskatoon erupted in the third en route to a 5-2 victory.
Jordan Keller (two goals, one assist) and Egor Sidorov (one goal, two helpers) each had three points for the Blades, who won for the fifth time in their past six games.
Spencer Shugrue (with his first of the season) and Charlie Wright had the other goals for Saskatoon.
Zac Funk opened the scoring for the Cougars and Jaxsen Wiebe completed the scoring after the Blades’ goal-scoring run.
Austin Elliott stopped 24 shots for the Blades (35-13-3-1). Tyler Brennan made 21 saves for Prince George (24-23-4-0).
The Blades are to continue their five-game swing through B.C. on Friday against the host Victoria Royals.
