Vandals are continuing to cause headaches for SaskTel and its customers in Saskatoon.
The telecommunications company says another five neighbourhoods have had equipment vandalized since Friday, which impacted customers with internet, television and home phone services.
The latest incidents occurred in these areas of the city:
- 1600 block 37th Street W
- 100 block of Birch Crescent
- 900 block Hazen Street
- 1900 block of Pembina Place
- 1600 block of Vickie Avenue
On Friday, SaskTel’s Greg Jacobs said vandals have been damaging wires inside the small green or grey boxes found around neighbourhoods.
He added SaskTel hasn’t experienced anything like this for several years.
“SaskTel is continuing to report all incidents of vandalism to the Saskatoon Police Service and we again ask the public to report any information they may have on these acts or any suspicious activity that they witness on or near SaskTel property, equipment, or infrastructure,” said the company in a release.
