Officers with the Saskatchewan RCMP are seeking two suspects accused of committing a break-in and ramming police vehicles during their getaway.
According to the RCMP, officers from the Kindersley detachment received a report of a break-in at a home in nearby Eston just after midnight on Friday. A silver car was parked outside the home when the officers arrived, the RCMP said, but when they approached the car, the occupants took off, nearly hitting one of the officers.
Police caught up with the suspects on Highway 30, but weren’t able to stop the car.
RCMP officers in Rosetown spotted the car again at about 2 a.m., and once again tried to perform a traffic stop.
“The silver car did not stop and rammed two police vehicles while fleeing,” the RCMP said in a statement.
After an investigation, the Mounties said they identified the occupants of the car, and warrants have been issued for their arrest.
According to the RCMP, the suspects are 26-year-old Derrick Seefried and 22-year-old Tami Falcon, both residents of Biggar.
Seefried is charged with breaking and entering with intent, assault with a weapon, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, and fleeing police. He’s about 5-foot-11 and 165 pounds, police said, with brown hair and blue eyes.
Falcon is charged with breaking and entering with intent and fleeing police. She stands about 5-foot-10 and weighs 160 pounds, police said, with brown hair and brown eyes.
The car was identified as a 2005 BMW 325XI with Alberta licence plate CKD 5623, the RCMP said.
“If you see Derrick Seefried, Tami Falcon, or the described silver BMW car, do not approach,” the RCMP said in a statement. “Call your local police service immediately.”
