The man accused of stealing a house in Crooked River earlier this year has been given a second shot at staying free until his case is resolved.
The home was on a trailer in preparation to be moved when it went missing.
Matt Malley will be released from custody following a show cause hearing in Melfort Provincial Court this morning. Malley, 32, had a bench warrant out for his arrest in October after failing to appear for one of his scheduled court hearings.
A show cause hearing allows an accused person being held on remand a chance to convince a judge that they are safe to release and will make future court appearances as scheduled.
Malley will be released once he has paid his bail.
His next scheduled court hearing is Jan. 9 in Melfort, when he is expected to enter a plea to a charge of theft under $5,000.
