The Regina Pats had to pull off a comeback after giving up three first-period goals to the Spokane Chiefs on Wednesday.
Regina was able to answer with two in the second period and one in the third to force overtime at the Brandt Centre. In the shootout, Pats goalie Drew Sim stopped both Spokane shooters while Alexander Suzdalev and Tanner Howe scored on their attempts to give Regina a 4-3 win.
The Chiefs got offence early from Saige Weinstein, Chase Bertholet, and Cade Hayes.
But the Pats got regulation goals from Suzdalev, Howe and Zane Rowan.
Regina (17-13-1-1) are next in action on Friday on the road against the Moose Jaw Warriors (19-12-0-0).
