SaskPower is set to answer the public’s questions about small modular reactors.
The Crown corporation is holding virtual open houses Wednesday about the project. One is scheduled from noon to 2 p.m., with the other to be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
SaskPower said the open houses will answer questions about safety, waste management, water use and the technology behind small modular reactors.
People from Pickering, Ont., will share their experience about living near a nuclear power facility.
Officials from the Nuclear Waste Management Organization are to discuss the safe, integrated and long-term storage of nuclear waste.
As well, participants will see how the GE Hitachi SMR works.
Anyone wishing to participate can register for either session (or both) here.
