Previously, WHL players were declared ineligible to play NCAA hockey in the U.S.
Regina Pats captain Connor Bedard has been named the WHL’s player of the month for a second straight month.
Bedard had 11 goals and 28 points during the month, and registered nine multi-point contests in that span. He enters December on a 25-game point streak.
Through November, the 17-year-old Bedard led the WHL in goals (24), assists (33), points (57), power-play points (23) and shots on goal (163). The first player granted exceptional status in the WHL, Bedard has 185 points — including 87 goals — in 103 career regular-season games.
The Pats are to visit the Prince George Cougars on Friday.
