Police in Saskatoon are asking for help from the public as they investigate the shooting of a 15-year-old girl.
According to police, the shooting happened at around 1:30 a.m. on Nov. 18. The girl was walking with her family near the corner of 20th Street West and Avenue Q South when a white car with multiple people inside pulled up alongside, and one of the occupants shot the girl.
She was taken to hospital, police said, where she was treated for injuries that were not life-threatening.
Police said the shooting is under investigation by the Serious Assault Unit, but they’re asking the public for help. To that end, police released images of the suspects’ vehicle in the hope someone can help identify the car or its occupants.
The Saskatoon Police Service asked anyone who has video surveillance footage of the area to check their records for anything suspicious, and asked anyone with information to come forward and make a report.
