For the fourth time this week, the Saskatchewan Roughriders have announced the signing of a player they selected in the 2022 CFL draft.
On Friday, the Roughriders said they had re-signed linebacker Tommy Bringi, who was Saskatchewan’s fourth-round selection (36th overall) in the draft. The 5-foot-11, 229-pounder played in 12 games with the Riders last season, recording one defensive tackle and six special-teams stops.
On Wednesday, Saskatchewan announced the signings of offensive lineman Diego Alatorre Montoya, receiver Riley Boersma and defensive back Tristan Fleury. They also were chosen by the Roughriders in the ’22 draft.
Bringi spent three seasons at Wilfrid Laurier University, recording 147 tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss, five sacks, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, three interceptions and two pass breakups in 23 games.
