The Regina Pats and their Trans-Canada rivals swung a trade Monday.
The Pats acquired 20-year-old forward Riley Ginnell from the Moose Jaw Warriors in exchange for a fifth-round pick in the 2026 WHL draft.
This season, the 6-foot-4, 205-pounder from Calgary has played two games with the Brandon Wheat Kings and 14 with Moose Jaw since he was acquired by the Warriors. He has recorded one goal and two assists.
Last season in Brandon, Ginnell set career highs in games (62), goals (14), assists (20) and points (34).
He has recorded 22 goals and 28 assists in 127 career regular-season games in the WHL.
